Hi terigw!  Have you cleared the DX cache?

Yes I did  BigDog I've had this problem before and can't remember how to fix it

Which Plugin are you using?

Are you really using DesktopX 3.0?  It was up to 3.2 going back to 2006 and now is 3.5???

Yea I'm still using 3.01 and what plugin do you mean

Do you have analog clock plugin? Sometimes they show when you switch to the dx builder mode and then import clock and then run it as opposed to just running the widget.. But you still need Analog Clock 2 .dll (plugin)..

In DX it's called additional abilities.  This actually makes available the DX Plugins.  So, if you were building a clock you would be adding the Analog Clock 2 ability to your object.  If you are talking about an existing clock then since you have already cleared the cache and that doesn't work then a next possible step would be to delete the one you have on your pc and re-download it from WC.

Also, as Richard said you need to have the Analog Clock 2 Plugin on your PC.  You should have it if clocks worked for you before.  There's a Plugin folder in your DX folder.  Look here for:

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX\SDPlugins\SDAnalogClock2.Dll

This is the Plugin you need that comes with DX.

i would suggest updating to the latest DX version.  The "clock" dll's have been problematic for a long time.

There have been a lot of problems with clock hands not showing in dx.  I think the latest versions work fine.

the best idea is to open DX in "builder" mode and import the widget you want to use, and sometimes that cleans up the issue, but who knows.

Did you find a solution terigw?

I had the same problem when  I change for vista home. I checked every dayst the upadate and clear the cache. The only thing I found is to switch to desktopX and desktopx builder twice and stop to use descape. since clock and and scripts work perfectly now. I don't know how it fix the problem but you can give it a try
